In courts where wisdom softly speaks,
The law protects the strong and weak.
From contracts made and promises kept,
To crimes where justice has been swept.
Torts that harm and causes deep,
Rights of the innocent we must keep.
In family law, where hearts are torn,
The law restores what’s bruised and worn.
From lands we own to deals we make,
The law ensures no promise breaks.
Across the world, both near and far,
It guides us like a shining star.
In matters of health and privacy,
It stands to guard our dignity.
Through evidence and trials fair,
The truth, it finds, and justice there.
With every case, the law unfolds,
A story of rights that must be told.
For in its grasp, we all are free,
Protected by the law’s decree.
Here’s a breakdown of each stanza:
First Stanza:
The opening stanza introduces the concept of justice being spoken in the courts, where the law serves to protect everyone, both the strong and the weak. It touches upon the importance of keeping promises and enforcing contracts, while also addressing the consequences of crimes.
Second Stanza:
The focus shifts to tort law, which addresses civil wrongs causing harm to individuals. The stanza emphasizes the law’s role in protecting the rights of innocent people. Family law is also mentioned, highlighting how it restores balance in situations involving personal disputes or family matters.
Third Stanza:
This stanza speaks to the law’s role in governing property and business relationships, ensuring that promises (like contracts) are kept. It stresses that the law is present everywhere, providing guidance in all parts of the world, like a constant source of light.
Fourth Stanza: This part touches on specific legal areas such as health law and privacy law, where the law protects personal rights and dignity. It mentions that the law ensures fairness through trials and the proper use of evidence.
Fifth Stanza:
The final stanza concludes by saying that the law is unfolding in every case, aiming to tell the story of justice and rights. The poem ends by asserting that the law, through its protection and enforcement, ensures that people remain free and safeguarded.
The overall theme of the poem is to convey the idea that the law is a powerful and protective force in society, ensuring justice, fairness, and equality. It underscores how the law impacts various aspects of life—contracts, family, crime, property, privacy, and more—while maintaining the balance between rights and responsibilities.
